Random Thursday: If I Had $1 Million

Welcome to Random Thursday!

I love that so many of you continue to link up with Em, Sarah, and I on weekly basis. You guys rock! Sorry for my post not being up bright early this morning but I was busy fighting off a gnarly headache all day yesterday & wasn't able to schedule it. Luckily it's gone today and the awesome RT show can continue.

This weeks topic is:

Oh man, I think we've all thought about what we'd do if we won the lottery...hell, I think about it at least once every day. If I see a nice car drive by, it's "damn, I'd totally buy that if I won the lottery", or if I'm sitting inside of loud movie theater, it's "ugh, I'd totally buy my own theater if I won the lottery that way I wouldnt have to sit here with all these mouth breathers". And,  yes, I've actually said that.

What else would I do? Here's what...
1. Buy a huge house so I could have family over & not have them be all up in my space. It would also have to be some place awesome looking like this one. Looks like something you'd see on Grimm.

2. Hire a maid that likes using Lemon Pledge. Seriously, I'm a slob that hates to clean so this would have to be a must.

3. Open a shooting range for Rusty to run. We'd be making money, he'd finally have a job he loved, and I'd stop hearing about how much he wants to go to the range. Three birds, one big stone.

4. Open homeless shelters & soup kitchens throughout the US. There are way too many people going hungry and it's not ok. My mom used to run a homeless lunch program for work & when she got sick last year and had to resign the fuckers closed the program down. I hate to think of all those people, including kids, going hungry just cause "it's too much work" to cook a large meal.

5. Travel the world. Well, mostly the parts of it with running water & toilets. I'd also stop by & visit every one of blog friends along the way :)

Alright, now it's your turn. Link up with us & share what you'd do if you had $1 Million...

Next weeks topic: Feel Good Movies...
(no, not porn)

  3. Dude, if I had a million I'd come live in Cali and be at your shooting range EVERY DAMN DAY. Sounds like so much fun! I'd also travel around on your blog trip with you!

I really like your idea of soup kitchens. In fact, I'm going to cheat and go back in and add something to mine - I had trouble deciding which charity type thing to include, but something close to home sounds like a great idea.

  4. Whoa, totally forgot about a maid. I'd want one, too!

And dude, way to go with feeding the homeless. You are amazing. Isn't it crazy that there ARE people with money like that that don't donate it to good causes? Crazy.

P.S. Love your clarification for next week's topic. HAHAH!

  6. I'm with you. I dream about winning the lottery at least twice a day. The first think I would do would be to take my whole family to DisneyWorld. Next I'd build my dream home on my family's land. Oh, and never work again!!

  7. A maid! Why haven't I thought of that? That would be super super awesome (and I don't even know what Lemon Pledge is, stupid German that I am ;-) Anyhow, great list!! It's such a fun to link up here! xo Anja

  9. I missed out again this week but I will be back on track next week. For once this entire summer, I was swamped at work on Thursday. Maybe I will right to write my Thursday post over the weekend so I am more prepared. Yup, that's what I will do...

I would pay off all my debts, and the debts of my husband and parents. Then I would buy a bigger house, quit my job and spend all day decorating it. I would then take all my loved ones on a really cool beach vacation (and then take several with just me and my hubby). I would then start my own business so I can finally do something I love. That's all I can think of for now.
