Ten On Tuesday

1. I'm wearing a dress to work today for the first time in 3 years. This feels a bit unnatural, like walking around in your granny panties.

I love these shoes!

2. Photo tagging on FB is bullshit. There should be some sort of rule that says you have to OK every tag before it goes live and the photo(s) of you looking as big as a whale go viral.

3. If you guys don't have a post in mind or scheduled for Thursday, may I suggest you join me & a few other awesome bloggers in 'Random Thursday'? It starts this week & our first topic is 'Favorite Things About Summer'. Get more info & sign up here, seriously guys, it's gonna be rad!

4. I need to track down the nearest 7-11, asap.

Giving away 5 million FREE Slurpees so get there early!

5. This will probably sound really cruel but it's totally true: listening to the Dr. Jenn Berman show on the way home everyday always makes me feel so much better about my life. Some of the people that call in for advice are so fucked up they make my over bearing parents issues look like a walk in the park

6. You know what sucks? Finding the perfect (less than $15) lingerie gift for a bridal shower you have to attend this weekend and not realizing that it's missing one of the elasticized garter belts until you're in the car. Should've known it was too good to be true.

7. As much of a let down as last nights episode The Closer was, I'm still pretty bummed it's coming to end next month. Good news though: it got a spin-off! Hopefully all of the Brenda Lee fans will stick around to watch it so it doesn't completely flop..

8. I may or may not have been listening to the Playboy channel on XM radio a few night ago when they were discussing 'talking dirty' to your lover. And, I also may or may not have freaked the fuck out & swerved a bit when my bluetooth rang. Seriously guys, you'd think someone had walked in on me during alone sex or something.

9. Normally I hate remakes but I really want to see this movie. Looks like they even brought back the famous woman with 3 boobs, haha.

10. New cars are bad ass. You know what's not as bad ass? Making that first car payment after not having one for almost a year. I can already feel the pain in having to fork over that cash instead of going shopping with it. Ugh, being an adult sucks.

* * * * * * * * *

Now it's your turn to put together some of your random thoughts & create a 10 on Tuesday post. Don't forget to link up here so we can all check it out & leave you nifty comments -->

  2. Hey Linny! You can set your privacy settings on FB so you have to approve every tag. Awesome, right?

Looking forward to the first Random Thursday!

  3. Free slurpees. I must find a 7-11 that isn't in a town full of cheap people... The line will be going around the corner where I live.

  4. I signed up for Random Thursday and I am so excited! Can't wait!
There is a playboy channel? I did not know that! Awesome!
And I am sure you look absolutely beautiful in your dress!
    Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  5. My d-bag brother in law tagged me in a status and it took me several minutes to figure out how to remove it. FB is making life harder! There has to be a way to set it so you must grant permission first, right?

  6. I always feel that way when I wear a dress in public too. I like the dress pants personally, but I try to switch it up sometimes and wear a dress to semi-formal occasions. And I can definitely feel your pain on the new car! I love my new truck, however, I could do without the payment pinch I feel now. Especially after we went two years with zero car payments in this house.

  7. 1. So pretty!

    2. This is why I just don't let people take my photo. At all. EVER. Problem solved.

    3. Hmmm. Looks interesting...

    4. I've never had a Slurpee. They look disgusting.

    5. I wish I drove so I could listen to that show! Who cares if it's mean - I'll take a self esteem boost wherever I can get it!

    6. If she doesn't read your blog you could just give it to her anyway - she'll either be too polite to mention it's missing something, or if she does, you can feign ignorance and outrage and blame the store.

    7. LOVE THE CLOSER! I'm not sure Raydor can step into her tiny and very high-heeled shoes, but I'll definitely give it a go. Gotta say, though, I'm really hoping the Justin Bieber-looking character on the right is a photo bomber.

    8. You totally crack me up.

    9. I don't know if I've even seen the original, so I'll probably watch it. Even if it does have Colin Farrell in it.

    10. Tell me about it. Try paying pretty much the same amount as a car payment for one trip to the vet. THAT sucks. The cats are lucky we love them, I'm tellin' ya.

  8. You're so funny! Thanks for the laughs...I'm especially tickled you're still freaking about facebook! Haha...it makes me laugh!

  9. 2. Stop talking bad about yourself!!! I'm sure you looked just fine. Also, why aren't we friends on Facebook???

    3. I will totally do this on Thursday. Remind me on Twitter. lol. I'm friggin' forgetful (I think you've noticed.)

    6. Great show! She spelled her name on the stand last night and I swear she spelled it Brenda Leigh. Could that be right?? I will miss her "thank you!" high-pitchiness but the spin-off could be good with Mary McDonnell as the lead. I heart tv.

  10. 1.You look fabulous in the dress but I
    understand what you're saying.

    2. I wish that people wouldn't tag me on stupid shit on FB like, "oh, I think of her when I see this photo. She'll like it" Um...no. I don't want to be associated with your stupid crap.

I wish we had 7-11's here. Stupid Exxon and Valero stations.

I keep on counting down how many more car payments we have. Having a new car is fun, making the car payments however, not much.

  11. The dress and shoes match perfectly!!

  12. I changed my FB settings so even if someone tags me in a photo, it doesn't show up in MY photos. It's not a 100% fix, but at least people can't readily see them when they visit my page. There are some seriously terrible effing photos of me on FB. I almost don't want to consider some of these people my friends after they upload that crap :)
