They're Almost Pants...Almost

There are plenty of things that cause me to have total 'blonde' moments. This is not one of them.

This is one of those "what's the point to these g-damned things?" kinda moments.

What things?

These things -->

Baby leg warmers.

Aren't they basically pant legs?

And, didn't they go out of style in the 80's?

Maybe that's why they made a comeback, you know, in a smaller form...mom's wanted to wear them but knew it was socially unacceptable so they put them on someone they know wouldn't revolt. A baby.

I've seen A LOT of babies sporting these so called baby leg warmers lately and as colorful and cute as they can be, why not just put cute & colorful pants on your kid?

Maybe I'm not cool enough to get it, maybe this is exactly why I don't & probably will never have fashionable friends but come on, you have to admit these things are a bit ridiculous.

Just a little bit.

(Note: If you're reading this Tracy, I'm not knocking your choice to put them on your baby. I simply don't 'get it' & you're forever one of my favorite peeps.)

  1. I totally get what you're saying. I actually have a few pairs and while yeah, they're supposed to go on your baby while they're wearing a onesie...or shirt...I was informed they're for hot, summer months where pants sometimes are a no go. Weird yes. Would I spend money on these? No lol

  2. The only thing I can think of is that if they have a "blowout" then all you have to do is change the diaper & onsie, haha. But I dunno!!

  3. Call me crazy but I love baby leg warmers! I think they are adorable when paired up with a onesie. I know lots of moms put them on the baby so that poor thing doesn't get carpet burn on their chubby little knees.

Confession - I wear leg warmers but only in the comfort of my own home. I wear short shorts, leg warmers, a tank top and a hoodie or sweater (it's my comfy clothes).

  4. I don't get them either... just put on some pants!

  5. Well. They're super pointless here. In fact, for about nine months out of the hear, it's too hot to even wear actual pants, so I don't know why anyone bothers.

  6. We have some and I love them :) I think they're adorable--chubby little legs sticking out? Cuteness!

They also protect their little knees when crawling around :)

  7. You don't have to take them off to change diapers. It may not sound like a lot, but when they are new, you change a million diapers a day (and don't sleep). So, any time saver is a time saver...

I love comments!
