Celtic Woman 'Believe' Album & Live Concert DVD Review

If I could ever go back in time I think I'd choose to visit the Renaissance era. Yes, mostly it's the cool corset & flowy skirts that appeal to me but it's the music too.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a copy of Celtic Woman 's new album 'Believe' and even though I know they're music isn't necessarily renaissance-like, it's always reminded me of it. Hence, why I'm so fond of it.

I'd first heard of the group a few years ago and was very surprised to find that they've actually been around since 2004. And, even though their lineup performers have changed throughout the years, their signature sound never has.If you've never heard of the all female singing group Celtic Woman then you're really missing out because they're absolutely amazing. The group features vocalist Chloe Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lisa Lambe and Celtic violinist Mairead Nesbit. These gals perform classic Irish song ("Green Grow the Rushes"), contemporary favorites ("Bridges Over Troubled Water") and inspirational songs ("Ava Maria) with their very original signature Celtic Woman twist.

There's definitely no denying this group of ladies are both vocally and musically talented. Their sound is as original as it comes and although it's not the type of music I'd listen to on a daily basis it sure does the job in taking the listener to another place in time. Their live concert DVD was recorded during one of their sold out performances at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA and shows their amazing performance which includes a 20 piece orchestra, 7 piece Celtic Woman band, 16 piece Atlanta Bagpipe Band, and a world champion Irish dancer.

Celtic Woman is currently touring the U.S. and if they're coming to your area you may want to check them out.

Celtic Woman 'Believe' Album & DVD can be purchased here and you can check them out on Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube.
