Mama Did Indeed Raise A Slob...Sorry Ma

I don't know what the heck's been up with me lately but I've been very 'blah' and 'meh' about everything. Nothings really gotten me riled up, you know gotten the blood boiling, and I've hardly cursed...totally unlike me.

Since Rusty's employment move I've no longer had to leave the house on weekends. This is good, right? Yeah, not so much. I'm bored out of my fucking mind guys! Last weekend I watched so much TV that it looked like I was punched in both eyes.

I know, I know, I bitch cause I'm not home enough and now I'm whining because I'm home too much. Go figure.

I honestly don't know how housewives do it. The first weekend was good, I picked up a little bit, did some laundry and then just lounged for the rest of the weekend. But last weekend I totally slacked. My 3 days off were literally filled with trips from my bed to the kitchen, then a pit stop at a random window (you know, to make sure the outside world still existed), to the garage, back to the kitchen and then back to my bedroom.

There's clutter and clothes piled all around my bedroom, if my bed wasn't so high off the ground I probably wouldn't be able to find it. Fo' reals.

The thing is that I know it has to be cleaned but I just don't want to be the one to do it. Honestly, last time I ran out of clean chonies I ended up grabbing a dirty pair out of the hamper and hand washed them in the sink. Yes, I only washed one pair.

In my defense I was saving water by not throwing them in a huge washing machine. <-- that's me trying to convince myself it was totally acceptable.

So now another weekend is upon me and as happy as it makes me to not have to be at work, I'm dreading being home. I'm hoping that remembering my mom's constant nagging of how she 'didn't raise me to be slob' and to pick up my clothes off the dirty floor will be enough motivation to get me off my ass & do something around the house.

  1. Haha! Totally get it.

I was always the same way when I was in the Air Force...dying for a weekend off instead of a weekday and then being bored and practically begging to work weekends again!

  2. I both understand and am totally jealous :) When I'm in a funk, I can't bring myself to do any of the domestic chores that keep our space livable either. And when I get a weekend off, it's a 50/50 shot at whether it'll be a super-lazy me time or a "binge cleaning" sort of time.

You need this for your bedroom. :D

I love comments!
