CSN Stores Product Review: Black & Decker Toaster Oven

A few weeks ago I mentioned CSN Stores had asked me review one of their products (of my choice) and after nearly pulling all my hair out because of all the products they have in their 200+ stores, I chose to review the Black & Decker Toaster Oven.

Turns out that Rusty & I really are as lazy as they come because making a mini pizza or corn dog in the oven has always seemed like too much work for us. We'd usually decide that the mini pizza wasn't the best of ideas since making it would entail us having to wait for our large oven to warm up or the other option was always the microwave, but who the heck likes soggy pizza? Gross. Corn dogs are pretty much the best any way you eat them but they always taste better when they're not soggy & limp.

That's the beauty of this Black & Decker Toaster Oven...it's little that there's not much waiting for it to get to a certain temperature & we get crispy/yummy/non-soggy food within 6-10 minutes!

The Black & Decker Toaster Oven is pretty much as nice as it is in the photo (normally not the case), it's small enough (12x18x15) to not take up too much room but big enough to get the job done. It's definitely ideal for anyone who's constantly on the run. It's a multi-function oven that can easily toast up to 4 slices of bread, bake medium size pizzas, broils meat and even comes with a warming function. It's pretty light weight, weighing about 10 lbs, comes with adjustable temperatures that can reach 450 degrees F and is 1200 watts.

I really like that it has a wide easy-view glass door because I'm known for burning my food, this allowed me to keep an eye on it while doing something else. The toaster oven came with dual-position rack slots, removable crumb tray (makes cleaning really easy), baking pan & has a convenient 30-minute timer that dings pretty loudly.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. It's quickly become Rusty's favorite kitchen appliance, besides the fridge that holds his sacred Dr. Pepper, and I'm pretty fond of it myself because it's easy to use and makes my food quickly. The only thing I'd watch out for if you buy the Black & Decker Toaster Oven is that the sides get a little hot so don't place it near anything that can melt or near a child's reach.

  2. Black and Decker does make some nice toaster ovens. I like ones with the convection function because it cooks food faster, saving time.
