Vintage Celebrity Saturday

I know, I've been a freaking slacker when it comes to these...whoops.

To be completely honest I decided to give it a break since I wasn't getting a lot of page views on these posts, hence me thinking they weren't really worth the time. Then I mentally smacked the crap outta myself & snapped out of it cause one thing I always said about this blog is that I post what I want without caring who wants to read it.

That's right, as much as I lurve all you (and I do) & want you to dig what I mindlessly write about, this is about me. Ok...and sometimes, just sometimes, you *huge smile*.

So here we go with this weeks' Vintage Celeb...

He's been in a lot of movies, but didn't really make it "big" until a few years ago. He's fought crime & outsmarted future machines. He's also slayed dragons & played a psycho.

  • Born January 30, 1974 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, UK.
  • He was raised in England, Portugal and California.
  • Is the youngest of 3 sisters.
  • Has been married since 2000 & has 1 child.
  • A very private individual, he has never publicly confirmed the name of his daughter.
  • He was hand picked to star in American Psycho.
  • Is an excellent horseman.
  • Was handpicked by Winona Ryder to star in Little Women.
  • Met his wife through Winona Ryder; she was Ryder's personal assistant.
  • Being an animal lover, his 2 dogs & three cats were all strays.
  • He has an uncanny ear for accents - he has used a different accent for each of his films to date.
  • He is the youngest & 7th actor to play Batman/Bruce Wayne.
  • Dropped an amazing 63 pounds for his role as the emaciated insomniac Trevor Reznik in the film The Machinist (2004) with only a single vitamin consultation with a nutritionist to guide him. For the most part, he only ate salads and apples, chewed gum, smoked cigarettes, and drank nonfat lattes.
  • Since reading "Charlotte's Web", he does not eat red meat.
  • Met Drew Barrymore on the set of Empire of the Sun (1987), who was visiting her godfather, Steven Spielberg. He was thirteen and she was twelve. Later they would both admit to having a crush on one another at the time.
If you haven't already clicked on any of those links & still don't know who this cute fella is, it's the very hot...

  3. I haven't been a very good blogger lately (been lerking but not commenting). But your vintage celebrity posts are some of my favorites! I always read your clues and try to guess the celeb (and usually get it right). Keep it up!

  4. I absolutely love Christian Bale. I've had a crush on him since I was 11...and I'm 29 now! In fact, I blog about that here: http://elizaoverthemoon.blogspot.com/2010/11/childhood-crushes.html
