Holiday Catch-Up

Where the heck did this week go & why didn't anyone warn me that vacation days would literally fly by?

Because of my employers budget issues they decided we all deserved a mandatory week off from work, yay for time off! If I wouldn't have been broke I probably would have done something super cool but I am & I didn't, ha ha. Staycation for the win!

Although, I did get to go see Disney on Ice's Let's Celebrate! show on Wednesday. We had so much fun & there was lots of ice skating male eye candy. Gay or not, they were hot.

I got a lot of clothes for Christmas, a pj's, 3 Starbucks gift cards (jackpot!) & a pair of black boots that have quickly become my favorite. They're the kind of boots that you could live, they sort of look like this just a little less dyke-like. I normally stay away from trends or the "in" outfits but I gotta
admit I totally sported this look the other night:

Rusty & I didn't have any New Years Eve plans but I received an email yesterday saying I won tickets to the New Years Eve Block Party event at the OC Fair Grounds, so that should be fun. I don't think we'll stay until til midnight because I don't think I'll be able to stay awake while driving home at that time. That & I don't want to add to any chances we have of getting on the road with any drunk drivers.

So...whatever plans you may have tonight just remember to have fun, don't drink & drive & make sure you don't get so trashed that you have to do the walk of shame or become a victim of the coyote ugly move the next morning *wink*.

Also, if you're doing a year in review post, leave me a link, I'd love to check it out. I wish I was brave enough to look back on all my posts & recap the year for you all but it may just bring me to tears, cause in reality not much has changed, lol.

What are you New Years Eve plans?

  2. This week certainly went by too quickly. It doesn't even feel like a break from work. Luckily, I am still off until Tuesday so I better enjoy these last few days.

Looks like my hubby and I are just staying in for the night. Kinda boring but we can't find anything exciting to do. We would go into the city to a party but there's just too much trouble trying to find a cab to get home.

I did my year in review post and since you couldn't sleep last night, I am sure you have read it already. If not, you know where to find me.

Happy New Year to you and Rusty! See you in 2011!

  3. I am glad that you enjoyed your vacation. I would have love to have seen that show as well. I did a year in review, but it really isn't glamorous.

  4. OOOH! Those are some sexy boots! Love them (unfortunately, I have abnormally large calves, even when I'm a size six so I'm jealous...oh well, at least I don't have cankles)!

We'll be stuck at home with a pair of sick three year olds. Making the best of it with snacks, paninis on my new Cuisinart Griddler (holla) and playing games with the oldest! Hopefully I'll round out my evening with a glass of champagne and leave just enough for mimosas tomorrow. ;)

Happy New Year, Lin! May 2011 bring many, many good things your way!

  6. Happy New Year to you too. We had a low key New Years Eve at some friends house. Somehow being pregnant my energy level isn't at the top, so I left shortly after midnight!
