Charley Harper Nesting Blocks Review

I've been pretty lucky lately & was given another opportunity to review one of AMMO Books products.

About The Nesting Blocks
The alphabet and numbers 1 through 10 are expressed with Charley’s colorful animal illustrations that wrap around the surface of each of the 10 nesting blocks. When completely stacked, the blocks stand almost 3 feet tall, and when they nest, they become a compact 6 x 6 x 6 inches square.

My Review
I really liked this set of Charlie Harper Nesting Blocks. They are made out of sturdy cardboard but are pretty light weight so it's not difficult for little hands to carry around & play with. My 4yr old god-daughter really enjoyed taking them out of the "big box" and stacking them over & over again. She hadn't even noticed they had letters & numbers on them until they were pointed out to her & then she was even more excited because they weren't just building blocks, ha-ha. The illustrations are simple, yet colorful enough to keep a child's attention. Charley Harper Nesting Blocks are a must have for any creative child who's learning their ABC's & numbers.

About the Illustrator
For over four decades, Charley Harper (1922-2007) provided art collectors with unique views of the natural world. In a style that Charley called "minimal realism," the artist created stylized drawings and paintings that captured the essence of his subjects using the fewest possible elements. He explained, "I don't count the feathers; I just count the wings."

Charley Harper Nesting Blocks can be purchased at AMMO Books (here) & Amazon (here).

(Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of Charlie Harper Nesting Blocks from Ammo Books in order to review it. I was not monetarily compensated for this post & all view and opinions in this post are mine.)
