Fill In The Blank Friday

Wow...it's been awhile since I participated in Fill In The Blank Friday. I thought for sure I'd miss another one because we're hanging out at my MIL's apartment tonight but she's busy feeding her animals or something on facebook. Yes, me!

1. My Thanksgiving plans this year will include having family over for dinner. The MIL will be coming over, and my parents & little bro will be there too. I'll most likely spend most of the day cooking, although the hubs does the main course (glazed ham). Should be a nice night, hopefully.

2. My favorite Thanksgiving was I don't know that I have a particular favorite one but I will always remember the first Thanksgiving Rusty spent with my {huge} family. If you know mexican families than you know that holidays are not a small event. I remember him asking why there were so many people there & I had to inform him they were all family & it's like that every holiday/birthday/weekend...basically, all the time. I mentioned this on twitter yesterday & someone told me "You don't just marry the bean, you marry the whole burrito" & I have to say there are no truer words! FYI: he still hasn't gotten used to it.

3. My signiture Thanksgiving dish is hmm...maybe my pumpkin pie. I just started making it about 2 years ago since I'd never been fond of it but it came out SO good the first time I made it that I now can't get enough of it.

4. My favorite Thanksgiving food is
my husbands glazed ham & creamed corn. Yum!

5. Thanksgiving free association! The colors brown, orange and yellow. Food...lots of food. Being thankful for all the stuff you normally take for granted.

6. Thanksgiving is a time for lots & lots of grubbing!

7. I'm thankful for still having a job (although that may change next month) & still being happily married to my best friend.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Don't let that keep you from trying to make them!! The reason I love making deviled eggs so much is that I can taste them as I go along! :) I just keep adding things and tasting the "deviled" part until I think it tastes right. :) you should give it a try!

I love comments!
