Vintage Celebrity Saturday

I've always thought she was beautiful but I'd never seen photos of her when she was young. All I have to say is "what a hottie!"

  • Born May 9, 1946 in Beverly Hills, CA.
  • Has been married twice, her first husband passed away from Lymphoma.
  • Has a child from her first marriage.
  • Worked as a fashion model before she took up acting.
  • Was the first female to host Saturday Night Live.
  • She was kicked out of the University of Pennsylvania after failing 2 subjects. She said that she failed one of those classes, art, because she simply couldn't get to her 8 am class on time.
  • Made her screen debut playing an aloof university student in The Group (1966), which delicately touched on the then-forbidden subject of lesbianism.
  • Is a vegetarian.
  • In 1995, after receiving her 5th Emmy Award for her role as Murphy on "Murphy Brown" (1988), she declined any future nominations for that role. She received a total of 7 consecutive nominations for the role.
  • Is fluent in French
  • Is a photographer and photojournalist as well as an actress.
  • Appeared on Groucho Marx's "You Bet Your Life" (1950) game show at age 12 and actually sang with Groucho on the show.
  • The French language dubbing of Miss Congeniality (2000), when aired in Quebec, Canada contains both hers and William Shatner's voices.
  • She studied drama at HB Studio in Greenwich Village in New York City.
She's aged really well, with the exception of the 1980's she's always been a looker. Any idea who this pretty lady is?
