Favorite Movie Tuesday

It's almost 9pm & my bedtime but I'm determined to post a new favorite movie since I've had the last one up for 2 darn weeks now, ha ha. So I'm sorry if this one's straight to the point...

We're heading back in time to the fabulous AquaNet days of the 1980's...

"Mark Kendall just found out that his one-night stand has been around for centuries"

Once Bitten premiered in 1985 and was one of the very first vampire movies I saw as a kid. I think I was about 12 when I first saw this movie on the USA network after midnight movies, lol. It was one definitely one of the movies my mom would not have approved of, not that it has much violence or sex in it (not like now a days anyhow) but I felt cool cause I was breakin' the rules...no tv past
midnight lol.

This was one of Jim Carrey's first movies & even watching now I think it's one of his best. Not only is it epic because it's a 1980's teen sex comedy but I think it may be the movie that sparked my interest in this genre.

If you're into 1980 comedies & have yet to see this movie I suggest you watch it. Once bitten is funny, dumb, cheesy & ends as you'd expect it to but it's worth watching if only for nostalgic reasons & laughs.

The Countess has a problem. She is a 400 year old vampire who will cease to look young unless she is able
to feed on a virgin three times before Halloween, a week away. She sends Sebastian, her servant and all of her lesser vampires out to find one. Finding a virgin is difficult in Los Angeles.
Mark has a problem. He wants to 'do it' with his girlfriend Robin in the worst way, but she wants to wait. Jamie and Russ, Mark's goofy friends convince him to go to a Hollywood pick up spot where Mark meets the Countess, on the prowl. Mark gets what he wants & so does the Countess...sort of. She has to bite him 3 times before her time is up but will Robin catch on & let that happen?

  1. I don't think I've ever even heard about that movie! You'd think with the vampire craze, it would be on cable or something a lot more these days. I think I'm going to have to check it out!

I love comments!
