Fill In The Blank Friday

I'm so glad it's the weekend & the start of a new month. June was rough...like drag out beat my butt rough, ha ha. Hopefully July will be nicer :)

Since it's Friday & I haven't done this in a while I thought I'd join in on the Fill In The Blank Friday, over at The Little Things We Do.

(Oh man...those look good!)

1. This weekend for The 4th of July I'll be having lots of fun! The hubs, my MIL & I are planning on going to a local 4th of July fair during the day and then we're going to meet up with my family and BBQ. The only let down is that Riverside County is a firework free county...lame.

2. Fireworks are awesome. I miss the good old days when you used to be able to set them off (safely) in front of your house in the street while all your neighbors sat around doing the same thing. Ah...good times.

3. Nothing says summer like picnics, Popsicles, trips to the beach, bbq's & bonfires.

4. My favorite summer memory is taking afternoon trips out to Huntington Beach with my family. We would sit on the sand & just hang out til it was dark & then start a bonfire. We'd make smores & then go home smelling like nasty smoke & our skin feeling salty & dry but it was SO much fun.

5. My favorite thing about Summer is being able to BBQ everyday of the week if you want to.

6. Summer in a word is Hot, lol. Thank goodness for central air conditioning, I don't think I could live without it.

7. If I could choose to have summer or winter year round I'd pick winter. Not that I'm a huge fan of the cold but here in CA it's never really freeze your a*s off cold. In all honesty I prefer Spring & Fall but I'd do winter over summer any day.

Want to join the fun? All you have to do is copy the questions & answer them on your blog. Then go on over to The Little Thing We Do & link up so other bloggers can visit you & check out your answers.

Happy Friday...have a fun & safe holiday weekend!

  3. I love fireworks as well, in Denmark we usually only have them at New Years. But that when everyone goes outside at midnight at light their own fireworks, the only downside is that it is usually so freaking cold!
    Happy 4th of July!
