Fill In The Blank Friday & Radioactive Update

It's Friday, I'm radioactive & I'm confined to a corner of my room so what better thing to do than play along with The Little Things We Do for Fill in the Blank Friday.

Want to play along? It's a lot of fun so go ahead, copy the questions, fill them out, post it on your blog & link up here to have fellow bloggers scope out
your answers.

1. The best piece of advice I was ever given was by my dad. When I told my dad I was getting married he sat me down & told me marriage is forever so make sure this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I would have to learn to be patient, understanding & not to be so stubborn because marriage is a partnership. It was no longer just about me. Every time Rusty & I have an argument I remember what my dad told me.

2. If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

3. If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be my grandma's beef birria with a side of her
homemade chili-beans & sopa de arroz (red mexican rice). Her food is seriously to.die.for.

4. My hair is too long, stringy & dry. I desperately need a cut but am not going to get one until my hair gets back to normal (aka: not dry & stringy). Once I get back on my meds my hair should get back to it's full & healthy state.

5. If at first you don't succeed try again. And if you don't succeed after that then you mostly likely suck at it so you should move on. Just kidding, try as long as you feel necessary but don't feel bad if you don't get it right.

6. I have always been a easy going & relax
ed type of person. I like going to baseball games, eating BBQ flavored sunflower seeds, wearing jeans & converse, watching horror movies & hanging out with Rusty.

7. Oh...and by the way I really love that there are so many bloggers out there that post daily. You all have no idea how much you've helped keep me sane during the last 24 hours of isolation. I'd be bored to death without you!

Now for my update. If you've been on twitter lately you'll know that I had my radioactive iodine procedure done in order to remove part or all of my thyroid yesterday. I am now co
nfined to a very small area in the corner of room because I am radioactive & anything I touch has to be either washed 3x, disinfected or thrown away. So of course that means I cannot sleep on my comfy bed, touch Rusty be closer than 6 ft away from a human being. It's pretty lonely being radioactive. Thank god for you bloggie friends! Right now I'm watching Monsters vs Aliens, seems fitting considering the situation, lol.

Rusty's still staying in our bedroom but has taken our mattress & tossed it on the floor on the other side of the room so our bed is actually keeping us apart (6ft of course). I think it sucks having him in the room & not being able touch him a little more than being ALL by myself. Good news is I only have to be like this til Sunday.

Ok...I'm getting really into the movie so I've actually lost track of what I'm writing so I'm going to end it here & continue watching. Later gaters...

Rusty's a little upset that I'm not (a) Glowing (b) Have super powers & (c) Don't have x-ray vision. I have to say I'm a little bummed by it too. I wouldn't have minded the super powers.

*One last thing...in couple of days when I'm no longer 'radioactive' I will be posting a fabulous review &
Spring GIVEAWAY. I love giveaways! Happy weekend everyone :)

  1. Oh you poor thing! :(

Wishing Sunday comes quickly for you so you can cuddle up with your man!!

  2. Hope you are feeling better soon!

This will be a good way to keep people away from you even when you get better. "Sorry co-worker you need to stay away I may or may not be radioactive".

Sounds like you are handing it well, and your husband is taking good care of you!

Twitter chat me later if you get bored! I will do my best to think of some radioactive jokes for you. :)

  3. At least your blogger friends can still be your friends when you're quarantined from real people. I'm glad you're not prohibited from playing on the computer too! :o(

  4. Oh bummer! This is the crappy part. But look on the sunny side: you don't have to wash any of your dishes! Ha!

  5. oh boo! I hope this is over sooner rather than later. X ray vision would be pretty cool though...

  6. :( Boo on the radioactive isolation that you're going through right now. While I hope MY weekend goes slow, I hope yours goes by SUPER fast! Ha!
