Favorite Movie Tuesday

I'm feeling pretty lovey dovey today for some reason so I've decided to go with a love story type movie for this weeks' favorite movie.

I'm positive I've mentioned it a few times but I've been a big fan of Drew Barrymore's for a long time (I recently won her movie Whip It & cant wait to watch it) & think she's full of talent. I'm sure I don't have to tell you but I loved how fabulous Anjelica Huston was in this movie as well. She did a great job playing the cold hearted step-mother.

Ever After was released in 1998 & I think I watched it a few years later a friends house. After watching it I remember thinking that it was a great version of the Cinderella story. I never did like how fairy tales are all love, sunshine & happiness because it's not real. This version shows that life can sometimes suck but there is beauty in all of it. I've never been much for sappy movies but this one has always been one of my favorite PMS movies. There's nothing better than a great love story when you need a good ol' cry.

I hate trying to dissect a movie in order to say what my favorite part is because...well, because the entire movie is my favorite, lol, but I have to say my favorite favorite part is when the Baroness Rodmilla De Ghent (mean step-mother) thinks she & her daughter Jacquieline are being beckoned by the King & Queen to be told that the Prince wants to marry Jacquieline but in reality find out that he's already married...to Danielle. The look on their faces is priceless.

Movie Synopsis:
After the sudden death of her loving father, Danielle (Drew Barrymore) is forced into servitude by her wicked stepmother, Baroness De Ghent (Anjelica Huston). Though her life is difficult - filled with chores and two new step sisters - Danielle grows into a happy, strong-willed young woman. Then, one day, her life changes forever when the handsome Prince Henry (Dougray Scott) crosses her path. Falling deeply in love, the pair begin to believe that it is possible to live happily ever after. But, in order for their romance to survive, they will have to overcome an evil scheme concocted by the Baroness.
