Favorite Movie Tuesday

I'm actually on time with this post...woohoo! The last couple of times I've been to Blockbuster I've passed this movie & every time I say to myself 'this is so going to be my next FMT movie' but then I forget cause I'm lame like that. That is until now...

So, finally this weeks' favorite movie is:

The Accidental Husband stars my favorite big footed blonde-Uma Therman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Colin Firth. I don't remember if this movie even came out in theaters or went straight to DVD but either way it's the cutest most adorable romantic comedy I've seen a while.

All three main characters mesh so well together & Uma Therman plays the button down woman role so well. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who I've had a crush on since Greys Anatomy) is the perfect down to earth hottie fireman who's out to get revenge. I was able to see this movie before it came out (don't ask) & it quickly made it to my top 10 favorite romantic comedies. Just be warned, it's pretty much a fairytale type movie so if you're not into the kind of movie that makes your heart all mushy you might want to go another route *wink*.

Emma Lloyd (Uma Therman) has made a career out of her sensible, mature and responsible approach to relationships. She has a hit radio talk show, an impending book deal, and a loving relationship with her fiance, Richard (Colin Firth), a conventional sort-which is precisely what Emma is drawn to. Then Emma finds out that she is already married to a man she's never met before, a result of a misguided prank that leaves her bewildered and very confused. Worse than that, her plans for the future are now threatened. With her wedding just around the corner, Emma must find the mystery man and obtain an annulment. Emma tracks down her "accidental husband" - Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a charming and handsome neighborhood fireman, with a big secret...that he was behind the "accidental" marriage. Unable to fess up, Patrick goes along with the ruse pretending to be just as baffled as Emma. While at first their opposite approaches to life create much tension and chaos, Emma soon starts to admire his carefree passion for life and doubt her own conservative, button-down views on life and love. As Emma's wedding draws near, she is faced with the choice between her safe life with Richard or the chance to live in the passionate and spontaneous world that Patrick inhabits

Sounds cool doesn't it? You know it does. So next time you're out looking for a great chick flick/date night movie, grab this one.

  1. Uma DOES have big feet. I'm not much of a movie girl (ADD tendencies...) but I DID see Kill Bill, and all I could focus on when she was in that trunk (right?) was 'Dang, she has some BIG feet'.

    Sorry. Had to share.

    Happy Birthday!!

  3. I'm going to have to check this movie out SOON. I've really been meaning to hit me up some Blockbuster for awhile, but I have a late fee and I don't want to pay it! Ha ha.
