Lets Play Catch-Up

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! Mine was...unlike any other I've had.

My grams was released from the hospital on Wednesday & is currently at home recovering. She is holding conversations & can do some things for herself but she seems to have short term memory loss & is in constant need of supervision. It's been hard but at least she's alive.

In other news, the day my grams was released my mom was admitted to the hospital. She had an infection in her lungs which wasn't allowing her to get enough oxygen & she had an anxiety attack to top it off. She was released from the hospital yesterday (Christmas Day).

I've never ever driven so much in my entire life. For a week straight I went from Riverside County to Orange County numerous times & instead of spending Christmas Eve with family at my grams house, Rusty & I spent it at the hospital with my mom, pops & lil bro Seth. It was...not ideal. Luckily she was released the next day & we finally got to open our gifts. We had decided not to open them until she got home so it was nice that we didn't have to wait too long.

I got some pretty cool stuff this year. I'm totally stoked because I received 2 coats this year. I have this thing for collecting coats! Rusty bought me a beautiful short gray wool pea coat that has a detachable hood & Seth got me a black mid length coat. I also received a
pajama from my grandparents, a robe with lil snow flakes on it from my god-daughter & movie tickets from my cousin & her bf. It was a great Christmas but hopefully the new year will bring something better, like better health for my family & a job for the hubs (although, he's seriously contemplating returning to school). Sounds good to me :)

Thank goodness today was a hectic-free day. I've done absolutely nothing but hang out with my mom, play ball with my god-daughter, watch TV, blog & now I'm laying in bed next to my sleeping hubs. This is definitely the sort of weekend I like having. However, I know it cant last forever...there's a HUGE pile of dirty clothes taking over my walk in closet. It's seriously horrid, I cant even step one foot inside of it. I think it's time to buckle down, suck it up & wash tomorrow. Ugh...I hate washing!

Oh...I don't know how many of you are Sex & the City fans (if you're not, you su
ck) but I cant wait for this movie!

Here's the trailer:

Also, Big Love is premiering on Sunday, Jan 10 @9pm on HBO. I got into this show two years ago & I'm hooked!

Here's a sneak peek:

  4. I guess I suck, I've never watched an episode of Sex and the City.

Let's blame it on lack of cable.
