Favorite Movie Tuesday

Da da Da da...
This weeks' movie is

This movie is one of my favs because it's not all happy & giddy, it's actually somewhat realistic. It shows a woman's heart getting broken, learning to be a single mother, putting her life back together & falling back in love.

Every time I watch Hope Floats it never fails at making me cry (in a good way). I love almost all the movies Sandra Bullock has done (I heard All About Steve Sucked Butt) but I have to say my favorite part of this movie is Harry Connick, Jr in tight pants *swoon*.

I also have to give major props
to Gena Rowlands (plays Birdie's mom, also starred in the amazing movie The Notebook), she was fantastic. I think she was my favorite character because she stuffed animals & made them into backpacks & statues. So weird...

My favorite part of the movie has
to be after Birdee's mom passes away & her ex shows up to tell her that he's in love with her BFF & they need time together. By this point she's had just about enough & seems to have excepted that her family is no more. The whole scene between them & the ones that follow are great.

Bill: People grow. They change. They have to.

Birdee: You don't think I know that? I know that I'm not what I once was. I know that. But then again, neither are you. You're sad, you're weak, and you're...shorter, if you really want to know the truth. But I haven't changed so much that I would go and lie to someone that I love. God, I would walk through fire before I would let them feel like they were nothin'. I would never break up anyone's home, because I'm not a quitter. I care about my family.

This movie is sorta a tear jerker but has a great happy ending :)

This week has sorta been a downer (I'm exhausted)...hopefully it'll begin to get better as I get closer to the weekend *fingers crossed*

Hope everyone had a great (or at least mediocre) Tuesday.
