He's Just Not That Into You

Rusty got me the movie 'He's Just Not That Into You' and I finally watched it today. Bonnie had been telling me it was a 'must see' and so I finally saw it. And, it was a pretty cute movie overall. It started out pretty slow, didn't really think I could get into it but 20 minutes into it they started introducing more characters and it got good. It's definitely a chick flick. Rusty didn't even offer to really watch it with me, he really just sat next to me in case I needed a hand to hold, all the while he was on his laptop (at least he tried).

Watching that movie really got me to think about how hard single girls have it. I haven't been single for 6 years now and if Rusty & I were to part ways I don't know if I'd be able to deal with dating again. I think if I had to pick one character out of the movie to relate to it would be Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin). Form what I can remember, when I was single I would always obsess if a guy didn't call me the next day. And then if he did call I would get all clingy and drive him away cause I was acting like a psycho.

I would say Bonnie is more like Beth (Jennifer Aniston) because she and my bro Joe have been together since high school and after dating for 8 years he finally proposed to her. Joe was never been the marriage type of guy, he thought much like Neil (Ben Affleck) that marriage was not defined by piece of paper but by the commitment made to each other, however he of course eventually gave in just like Neil did.

I guess we all know someone who can relate to a character in the movie but I have to give major props to all the single men & women still out there in the big dramatic scary world of dating. Keep truckin...everyone has a perfect someone!

I'd also like to add that Mrs. Newlywed over at Misadventures of a Newlywed started a Misadventures Book Board where you can go and discuss/review books you've read and movies you've watched. I've already become a member so you should too! I read a book almost every week and watch a new movie maybe twice a month so I figured I'd join the forum and give my opinion for anyone who's interested.
